We are full of thanks!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving share something (or many things) for which you are thankful. Your list might be pretty long when you stop to think about it. It may include things we are all thankful for... like HTe, or a loving family, or cookies (mmm!), or sunny days! Share your thanks here!

Time-traveling to the Past

Learning through artifacts left from years ago we start thinking about what life was like long ago. Can you imagine living in an age when there weren't computers, cell phones, or televisions? How about a time when there wasn't flushing toilets, electricity, or running water? Seems crazy to imagine, but also cool to think about being alive when those things were first invented. Imagine driving one of the very first cars!

Do you think it would have been fun to write in hieroglyphics? Maybe you would have enjoyed not having to go to school and instead taking care of animals on a farm. Think about the past and tell us something that would be different if you lived in a different time.

New year - new school - new friends!

Welcome to High Tech Elementary! I am feeling so lucky to be starting at a new school with new 5th graders. I am already enjoying getting to know each of you so I'm sure this will be a great year. I hope you find quickly that this new school is amazing. There's a lot we've planned to make HTe awesome and this classroom will be a place where your voice is important!
